  I had a slight complication with an order, and asked one of the young girls for her, in which she had to check with the "manager" to verify, and was completely shocked when she then told the young girl she had no time for my query. It was almost unimportant to her and the young girl was then left to make a decision, which I'm sure she got a bollocking for later. Her unnecessary yelling from one end of the shop to another, leaves you paused whilst ordering as you can't think over her intruding voice. I would suggest she undergo some training, but I don't think she'd benefit seeing as she can never be wrong.

  Prawn cutlets, squid rings and crab stick all tasted like nothing, except maybe a mouthful of old grease.

  I've been a regular customer for years, and have never had a problem with my food or customer service from the young staff. I do however, have a problem with how the bigger lady treats the younger staff, and her customer service. Her unprofessional yelling, and belittling of staff is unacceptable. Not to mention the various occasions of her sat on her ass while her staff are left to mans the shop. The immaturity of someone in their late 30's/early40's is disgusting!

  The batter thats used is ridiculously thick and it hides the taste of whatever it is coating. The service was terrible and the cleanliness of the store is disgraceful for a food premises that serves food, (if you can even call it that!)

  I'm not one to complain usually but last nights order wasn't up to scratch given it was cold by the time it reached us almost 2 hours after my initial order and 48 minutes after the order delivery was confirmed by the store.

  The driver obviously new the order was late and relived himself of our order and took off very quickly.

  Once again chippy's butler are cooking up a load chips to so call bet the rush. So what they do is reheat reheat the chips. So your chips are fit for the bin. The chips I bought again, I had to bin 80% so we had to get something else for dinner. Why they can't cook the chips to is beyond me. I reckon the owners grandmother would turn in her grave if she could see what's been dished up, especially with the sprucing chippy's hace on their walls about their history. Well for person, we will never gets our chips from them again.

  Unfortunately this is our local and it runs warm to cold. Tonight fish was ok but chips were not cooked and the oysters were luke warm covered in half raw batter - not edible. After waiting an hour for an online order you'd at least expect it to be cooked.

  Chips were not fresh and obviously pre-heated, almost to the point of no return. Fish was waterlogged and did not resemble a fillet of anything fishy.

  I would love to see Chippy's undergo some positive development, as it will forever be one of my favourite places, despite the detemental flaws.
